Memo #2
|
Every year the challenge of getting into colleges and universities becomes more difficult. Colleges are raising their requirements and costs of education are soaring. Planning, organization and involvement of parents is needed. Before starting this process, finances should be set as to what the contribution of the family will be toward the education of the child. College costs range from $5,000 to $50,000 per year.

Question 11A on the SAT application asks you to list four colleges/universities you wish to send your scores to for college consideration.
a. If you know four colleges/universities now, list them or their code number.
b. If you don't know four colleges/universities, you have until nine days after the May exam to list them without being charged extra money later on.
c. When you send score reports, they are cumulative. You can list a college
when you take the SAT in the fall and your May score will be sent in addition
to your fall score. So it is not necessary to list colleges now if you don't know
where you will be applying.
